The pug has a long tradition at MEISSENĀ®. Even the Saxon elector and founder of the manufactory, August the Strong, once gave his mistress Countess Cosel this dog made of MEISSENĀ®Ā porcelain. To this day, the enthusiasm for the pug remains unbroken, which is why MEISSENĀ®Ā dedicates a collection with over sixty different variations to the popular pets. Whether hand-painted in rich detail or left natural - the masterful craftsmanship produces enchanting four-legged friends. So also the figure "Pug, without bells". Lovingly hand-painted, the figure shows a sitting dog that looks at its viewer with loyal eyes expectantly. With much love and dedication to the craft, the pug is created in filigree handwork.
